Our Story
We’ve come a long way
A different kind of employee benefits advisory firm.
Twenty years ago, we entered the employee benefits and health insurance space with a simple belief: employer-sponsored plans could—and should—provide both financial protection and access to high-quality healthcare. For many years, that model worked. Our firm grew, our clients remained loyal, and we took pride in guiding employers through an increasingly complex landscape.
But over time, the system changed. Costs rose relentlessly. Benefits eroded. Employers were asked to spend more while receiving less. And traditional brokerage models were no longer solving the underlying problems.
So we reassessed our mission.
We realized employers needed more than carrier quotes and annual renewals—they needed governance, oversight, data transparency, and financial discipline. They needed a partner who could help them manage healthcare the way any other business unit is managed: with accountability, measurable performance, and intelligent risk management.
That’s why we created Ally Partners.

As the founder of Ally Partners, Bob has more than 20 years of experience in this industry. With that experience, he has developed many innovative solutions and a strong network of trusted partners. He is passionate about eliminating waste within the healthcare system, so that quality healthcare can be affordable and accessible to all.

Client Manager
Sue joined Ally Partners in 2022 after more than 20 years as the Senior Director of HR Policy & Compliance at Aetna.

Chris DeFrain
Business Consultant
Chris is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA). He currently owns a business advisory firm, Chris DeFrain Consulting, LLC. He has been a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for Lehigh Valley Restaurant Group, Inc (LVRG), D.B.A as Red Robin Gourmet Burgers and Brews, for 13 years. Chris is a former partner at Buckno Lisicky & Company PC (CPAs).
